Creative Counselling is solution oriented and combines attention to the eclectic integration of family systems, cognitive-behavioural, gestalt and psychodynamic approaches, using the best aspects of each in a unified therapy. Employed are a hybrid of two or more of the humanistic and psychodynamic approaches: mindfulness based/cognitive-behavioural, existential/transpersonal, strategic/narrative, and emotion focused/solution-oriented approaches, which are explained as follows: The examination of the influence of your past experiences as well as your current psychological, social, familial, cultural status and how they may affect your presenting problem/s, ways of thinking, feeling and behaviour. A thorough exploration of ways to resolve your situation will be taken. While these models guide the work, alternate approaches may at times be more effective or appropriate.
